As you all know, there has been a lot of discussing going on about where Innuendo is going to go from here on, after we killed Arthas in ICC 10 that is. You have without a doubt seen how the free attendance rule worked in reality, and I'm the first one to admit that no, it's not working and that I was wrong about it. We simply cannot continue like this although I would much want to do so. Without a raiding basis, without any expectations at all for people showing up at raiding days we cannot make any plans and people are often left out or, on a few occassions, we don't have enough people to raid with. I think it stands to reason that we change that. Most probably it's gonna be 3 raids per week, minimum attendance at two. If you can't make it, you get demoted and you raid whenever you want, provided that there's a spot.
Secondly to what we will be doing at least Cataclysm, most probably after it hits as well. The way I see it, having one group of 10 is way, way more hardcore than having one group of 25 or 2 groups of 10. The reason is simple, say that you have a guild of 12-13 people and a 10 man team for each raiding day. What if the MT cannot make it? What if 2 healers get stuck on traffic or just do not feel like raiding on that day? Worse yet, what if the tanks go on holiday for 2 weeks and 2 DPS have exams? I think inevitably, in order for that to work, you have to play with proffessionals. Now a proffessional guild we are not, and we do not intend to be, so that's pretty much out of the question.
Because of that, we're thinking of getting a strong player basis of 25 people or more, and decide with time if we want to run 25 or 2x10. Until then, until we have formed that team and we do not need 13 pugs to do a farm run at ICC 25, I suggest we run 2x10s, difficulty depending on the group's setup.
Give us your opinions on all that. We want to lead this guild horizontally, I have told people time and again. Do us a favour though, this option and power is given to you. Come read the forums, provide us with your feedback. I do not want to see this thread holding three answers.
